Major benchmarks include CHOGM, then the NAM and G77 + China summits in January 2024. These events tested airport handling, delegate logistics, security coordination, and venue operations at scale.
In 2024, ICCA ranked Uganda 6th in Africa for international association meetings. The Uganda Convention Bureau, supported by ExploUganda, works with ICCA and SITE standards for bidding support, planning frameworks, and on-site delivery quality.
